Brought up in Hyderabad, Surya's journey took a pivotal turn when he moved to Bangalore in 2019. The city captivated him, not just with its pleasant weather and proximity to beautiful temples, but also for its thriving tech ecosystem. From a young age, he aspired to tackle some of the world’s most pressing problems. This ambition led him to explore the most efficient ways to make a real impact, and he realized that the entrepreneurial path offered the speed and innovation he sought. "I always wanted to solve big problems, and I knew that the best way to do it was by taking matters into my own hands," Surya shares.
"I evaluated close to 30 different ideas before finalizing this one," he admits. His approach to entrepreneurship is clear and deliberate, guided by two powerful principles: the project must impact billions of lives and solve a problem he personally experiences. This focus has shaped his current venture, though he still considers himself in the "starting out phase." "I'm still building, still learning," Surya humbly shares, acknowledging that the challenges he’s faced—especially in prototyping hardware—are simply part of the fun of entrepreneurship.
Surya has achieved several remarkable milestones. At just 15, he secured a patent, a testament to his innovation and dedication. This patent helped him gain $42,000 in grants, which he now uses to push his project forward. In addition to his technical milestones, Surya has also garnered recognition on a national level, such as being nominated as the national author of the year and achieving a special mention in the World Record Writing Contest. His work has been published across newspapers in India, Thailand, and Canada, and featured in multiple Google-verified websites, further bolstering his influence and reputation in both entrepreneurial and literary spaces.
Surya's progress has been impressive since going full-time on his idea. He’s developed software, secured initial funds, and is now creating early versions of his product, laying the groundwork for a lineup designed to reach a broad audience. "I want to create products with an array of capabilities," he explains. His vision is to offer technology for everyone, regardless of budget or preferences. "As a startup, I have the advantage of being lean and fast," he says, emphasizing the agility that he sees as one of his greatest strengths. Building a team that shares his passion and drive, Surya is ensuring that innovation remains central to his business.
Speaking from experience, he encourages others to pursue their passions. "Be passionate about what you're building," he advises. "When you have that passion, and you set tangible goals to achieve, the results will follow."
