Shubham Sharma, on establishing a successful system for a sustainable future for mankind: Hydrotech Clean Energy Co.

Raised in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, with an impressive academic background—an MBA, MCOM, and LLB—Shubham Sharma began his career in 2008. However, it was in 2013 that his true entrepreneurial journey took flight. "I’ve always believed that true impact comes not from what you take, but from what you create," Shubham reflects. Growing up in a business family, he was imbued with the entrepreneurial spirit early on. Yet, he knew he had to build something that addressed critical issues and benefitted people on a large scale.

Hydrotech Clean Energy Co. emerged from a simple yet profound idea: reducing carbon emissions to safeguard the environment. India’s booming automobile industry, while a symbol of progress, has led to increased fossil fuel consumption, exacerbating pollution. Shubham and his team recognized the necessity for a cleaner alternative—hydrogen. "We didn’t just want to follow a trend; we aimed to set a precedent," Shubham asserts. After countless hours of meticulous research and development, they introduced India’s first device that converts water into hydrogen, usable as a co-fuel or carbon killer in engines.

Their flagship product, the Hydrogen Engine Detox Machine, is nothing short of revolutionary in engine maintenance. This innovative device employs hydrogen gas to remove carbon deposits from engines in a mere 30 minutes—without dismantling the engine or resorting to harmful chemicals. "Innovation isn’t just about doing something new; it’s about doing something better," Shubham remarks. The result is an efficient, swift, and remarkably affordable solution that has transformed the industry. Yet, the path to success was anything but smooth.

Funding was a significant hurdle, particularly since the company was entirely bootstrapped. Additionally, there was little to no awareness of their cutting-edge technology, necessitating a market education effort from scratch. "Every obstacle is an opportunity in disguise," Shubham muses.

Despite these formidable challenges, Hydrotech persevered, innovating relentlessly, and ultimately established a new industry within the automotive sector—the Engine Detox Industry. Today, Hydrotech’s success is resounding. They detoxify over 50,000 vehicles monthly, significantly reducing carbon emissions and saving users thousands of liters of fuel. The company has garnered 14 industry awards and created jobs for over 3,000 people. "Creating an industry from the ground up is not just an achievement; it’s a legacy," Shubham proudly states.

Since launching its first dealership in Haryana in 2015, Hydrotech has expanded its reach to over 120 dealers across India and now exports to 18 countries. The company has also rapidly scaled its operations post-COVID, opening over 1,500 centers in India to date.

By 2030, the goal is to cater to all fossil fuel vehicles in India, reduce pollution by up to 40%, and create job opportunities for 40,000 people. Hydrotech is also in the process of developing a Steam Car Wash system designed to clean vehicles using just 10 liters of water, contributing to environmental sustainability. The ultimate objective is for Hydrotech to become India’s largest manufacturer of Hydrogen on-demand systems. "Our vision is not just to lead the market, but to redefine it," Shubham says with conviction.

The company continually develops new, more efficient products in its dedicated R&D labs, incorporating the latest AI and data-saving technologies. Shubham firmly believes that staying ahead in the industry means constantly learning, adapting, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. "In a world that changes daily, complacency is the true enemy," he advises.

As a patent holder and ISO-certified company with a strong presence across 16 states, Hydrotech Clean Energy Co. is poised to lead the green energy revolution in India and beyond. Their products, backed by a 2-year guarantee, set new industry standards, ensuring clients feel secure and supported. "We don’t just offer products; we offer peace of mind," Shubham concludes. Hydrotech’s impact is far-reaching.

They’re not just reducing pollution; they’re creating new employment opportunities and helping people extend the life of their vehicles. Shubham’s advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is simple but profound: "Find an idea that solves real societal issues, build a team with the same vision, and stay focused. Whether bootstrapped or funded, hard work and focus will inevitably lead to success."
