K Aditya Rao: As a child, I always dreamed of proving myself and standing up for myself. I wasn’t a quick learner as a kid. Hence, with the zeal to prove myself and stand up for myself I decided to pursue entrepreneurship when I was young.


I actually started it when I realised the extent of the impact that one can make or create being an entrepreneur, be it through both social and personal satisfaction and growth I guess it is second to none.


It has been a humbling and learning experience to say the least. In entrepreneurship the need to learn and unlearn each day is something that is making me stand and take notice and push the envelope each day.





In the last 2 years of being on this path, I guess I have learnt much more than what I did in the last 5 years of my professional journey.


I truly believe that the more the challenges we go through the more we grow. I too have faced a lot of challenges in my life.


While the most significant achievement for me so far has been to have been chosen as one of the men leaders to look upto in 2021. Also, after nearly teaching across management colleges for around 10 years, a lot of my students have followed my path and nothing is more fulfilling than that very aspect.


I am a Marketing Research and consumer insights specialist. Having spent a good part of my career with FMCG firms, through my company we deal with and undertake a lot of Marketing research projects for FMCG companies.


Apart from that I am also a business coach, where in I help professionals who have launched their own start-ups scale up their business and double their revenue in 12 months.


There are many benefits of marketing research (MR) and some of them are: It helps in being consumer centric. By keeping the consumer at the centre of the business, what MR does is that helps identify their needs and wants.


For existing products it helps in understanding if the marketing inputs or levers are resonating well with the consumers and help get consumer feedback. Be it with advertising, products, concepts or even with pricing.
