I belong to the land of Kala Pani, the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, precisely from Diglipur, where there was no internet till 2020. I was passionate to follow my dreams by breaking all the conventional rules set for a girl from a middle-class family in a small town.
I always believed in - “not dying an insignificant death and that we all have a single life with lots of opportunities to build something meaningful”. My Entrepreneurial journey started in 2018 as CEO along with the two other co-founders. And the brand expanded successfully in different cities. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the business could not sustain and we have to shut down in 2021.
Coming from a family where people don't believe in venturing into businesses, I fought against all odds and overcame a lot of resistance to start my entrepreneurial journey. It is often observed that in good times, friends and distant relatives would always be around, but when hard times hit, I had only a handful of people who supported me. It took a long time to get out of the financial and emotional meltdown and decided not to give up.
I decided to take a one-year gap and then worked on starting a new venture in 2022 with an energetic and determined team of co–founders from the field of architecture, technology, and marketing. And in six months, the venture reached several milestones and completed E2E commercial, residential, and urban designing projects in 7 cities.
Message to other emerging Entrepreneurs is - Never stop dreaming. If you don’t succeed, try and fail. Choose your co-founders carefully. We should all share the same dream. Surround yourself with positive thoughts and people. Identify problem areas and resolve issues. Create something useful for your target audience.
