Dhawal never aimed to construct just another agency—he wanted to construct something that counted. His path began not in a boardroom but on stage, in college theatre, where he initially fell in love with telling stories. That passion led him to try every artistic direction, from design at ICSA Innovation and LC Media to print media and video production at Exhibit Technologies. Each role served as a valuable lesson, sharpening his instincts and leading him to a pivotal moment in 2020 during the lockdown. It was then that he co-founded Deffective Duo with Priya Waingankar. Within just seven months, he recognized a greater opportunity to merge with The Events Couture, founded by Janvi Shah.


This strategic move ultimately led to the creation of Crewtangle LLP. It began as a daring experiment in design, events, and strategy and swiftly grew into a brand marketing force to reckon with, having worked with brands such as Trend Micro, BMW Infinity Cars, Marico, Tata Cliq, and Air India. But passion is not enough to build businesses—determination is. Early times were fraught with doubt, not only from the sector but from those who surrounded him. Second-guessing, doubting, and the need to prove himself were ongoing struggles.


"The noise is always present," he explains, "but the actual challenge is learning to tune it out and remain concentrated." The obstacles were genuine—handling payroll, streamlining hiring, going up against behemoth agencies with years of experience. But rather than retreating, he honed his procedures, assembled a staff with like vision, and concentrated on what actually differentiated them: clarity, competence, and fanatical execution.In a business where creativity and strategy intersect, he soon learned that great ideas aren't sufficient—they require structure, intention, and consequence.


Too many companies sprint to scale before establishing solid foundations, and he was not going to be one of them. "A business isn't about how fast you grow, it's about how well you build," he considers. The most important lesson? Communication is everything. Presuming that people get what you are talking about is a recipe for disaster—clarity drives execution. In spite of the obstacles, Dhawal always had one unshakeable support group—his family.


Though they too had doubts at times, their faith in him allowed him the liberty to risk. He believes strongly that families can mold tomorrow's entrepreneurs not only by being supportive but also by imparting financial education and grit at a young age.


Knowledge and competencies can take you places, but financial know-how and a sense of risk can take you even farther. Crewtangle is a world where creativity and strategy come together, where each campaign is a chance to leave a mark.


Advertising and marketing aren't about selling, they're about storytelling, connection, and impact. Each project is a challenge, and that's what makes this business exciting. As an established individual, he shares: Specialize, surround yourself with people who share your vision, and remain consistent. Growth isn't something you pursue—it's something you create, decision by decision.
