It’s true, some people are way ahead of time. So is the case for Karan, a student at Delhi Public School Chandigarh in Commerce who is a lot more than his academic achievements. Born in Ambala and nurtured in Panchkula, His journey began with a fervent thirst for knowledge, cultivated through his academic tenure at Woodlands House School, Tulip World School, and ultimately, Delhi Public School in Chandigarh. Currently entrenched in his senior secondary education in Commerce, his portfolio is already adorned with accolades from institutions such as IIM Ahmedabad, IIT Ropar, and the Oxford Home Study Center, among others.
Being told that success was the domain of a select few like Mukesh Ambani or Elon Musk, Karan decided to challenge this narrative. This moment of introspection illuminated a profound realization: the very mindset that limits potential was the first barrier to dismantle.
His ventures—Phoenix, International Debaters Club, AskGov Square, and YoungStonks—emerged from a deeply personal space, each one a response to societal fissures he encountered. When the masses flocked to Model United Nations in 2023, he envisioned the International Debaters Club, creating a platform for substantive discourse. The dwindling accountability in government spurred the inception of AskGov Square, while the surge in sexual assault cases led to the birth of Phoenix. Each enterprise is less a business and more a movement, driven by his personal experiences and a keen eye for societal needs.
His enterprises are unique, not solely because of the services offered, but because of the indomitable spirit that fuels them. The filing of over 500 RTIs, accompanied by numerous appeals and complaints, stands as a testament to his commitment to societal reform, not personal gain.
The milestones achieved speak volumes. The International Debaters MUN 2023 attracted over 150 registered delegates, with 100+ paying participants, a remarkable feat for a burgeoning initiative. Phoenix, conceived to combat sexual assault, now counts over 100 members, illustrating the reach and impact of his endeavors. These accomplishments, from humble origins to significant societal contributions, underscore his evolution as both a leader and an innovator.
Plans are underway to launch courses for MUN participants, orchestrate innovative events, and continually push the boundaries of his organizations. The focus remains steadfast on education, awareness, and community building, ensuring that his initiatives not only thrive but also set a precedent for others to follow.
“If you fail 100 times, rise 1000 times. Let money work for you; let success chase you.” These words, imbued with the weight of experience and the wisdom of perseverance, encapsulate the essence of his journey.
Beyond his entrepreneurial endeavors, his commitment to societal change is further exemplified in his recent letter to the President of India, highlighting seven critical issues that demand immediate attention. This act is yet another reflection of his unwavering dedication to effecting tangible change.
