Ashwinnath R | The Entrepreneurs of India June 2024 Magazine Edition #16

Ashwin, popularly known as Ashtag, is a creator and founder of two businesses with nearly 2.5 years of experience in content creation and personal branding. After a failure in football, he started his first company, Mediawrx, handling branding and strategies for clients like Suguna, Anna Nagar Cycles, The Bigdeal Store, and F45 Gyms. Despite his skills, the company struggled due to a lack of organizational planning.

He began his journey on YouTube with an adventure page, Ashtagged, which quickly grew to 65K followers in four months, gaining 20 million views across 20 videos. This experience taught him valuable lessons in content creation and storytelling, building his confidence to pursue it further.

Shifting his focus to Instagram, he created Ashtag Learns, a page dedicated to content creation and personal branding. This endeavor aims to help 10,000 people become creators and pursue their dreams, embodying his belief in the WIN-WIN model. As of June 12, 2024, he has 85K followers, 15 clients, a team of 20 vibrant people, and a digital product soon to be launched.

Throughout his journey, Ashwin realized that 90% of people around you care primarily for themselves. These outsiders will neither support you in failure nor celebrate your success genuinely. In contrast, the remaining 10% are the insiders who stand by you, support you, and deserve to be kept close.

His partner's parents supported them financially and emotionally but insisted on a 9-5 job. He believes it’s crucial for budding entrepreneurs to communicate their needs to their parents, as parents are usually willing to support their children's happiness.

Starting with limited resources, Ashwin and his partner leveraged their talents and created multiple income sources to support their goals. Every step they took brought them closer to their objectives, proving that perseverance and resourcefulness pay off.

One of the significant challenges Ashwin faced was standing out in a saturated market. He overcame this by building a personal brand, using the power of storytelling to give his brand a voice. Quantent, Ashwin’s business, helps entrepreneurs, founders, doctors, investors, and CEOs with content creation and personal branding.

NBC (Next Best Creator) and Ashtag Creator Club offer affordable digital learning cohorts and communities to guide individuals in becoming creators with strong personal brands.

Ashwin believes the uniqueness of his business lies in empowering individuals through personal branding. His advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is simple: don’t hesitate to start, as every journey begins with the first step.
